What is a Veterinary Behaviorist and How Do They Differ From a Trainer

A lot of the terms that have popped up in my research or that there are a ton of similar professions and similar categories and there’s a very thin line that separates them into something of their own category. This week I’ve looked at another different professional and that is a veterinary behavior list. The new behavior list or also board certified and they are veterinarians first and then they also specialize as a behavior list at the same time as they are studying to become a board-certified veterinarian or they can go back and do the time separately. The one thing that interested me was that the behavior list is slightly different from a regular license veterinarian. They go to school for an actual three years for specific behavioral training and their board examination is quite longer than a typical licensed veterinarian. Veterinary behaviorists are different from a dog trainer because they have more intensive knowledge and can find the root cause of the behavioral issue instead of just being able to train them using different techniques. The visionary behavior list will also train different animals such as horses, birds, and other animals that they are comfortable with or understand very well. While Over break I visited different colleges and spoke to different people about different medical routes that can be taken for different doctors in different specialties. And at each college did something different and something new on top of the basic learning that is required for the specific majors of animal sciences. As well on over break I started working out more formatting with my website so I can add in my accomplished work/research into it.
