Interacting with the Professionals

This past week ISM students from schools all over the fisd area participated in the Business Symposium. We were given this great opportunity to interact with different professionals. Over the course of three hours, professionals from many different fields and backgrounds gave their time and knowledge to answer manu students' questions. Many of them gave advice about relationships, visualizing your goal and communication skills. Communication skills are very important whether you are leaving a job or scheduling an appointment or meeting. It is always important to have good communication. Also what makes you more desirable than the rest. Do you do something that makes you stand out from the rest of the crowd? When you present yourself do you show that you are comfortable with who you are. Networking was also a big takeaway from the business symposium. Even if there is a lack in your skill set it can be made up by relationships. Relationships are very important and simple to create even if it is just starting out with the people around you. Every person you meet is a possible connection that can benefit you in the future. This next week I will be more focused on more networking and my original work idea.
