Harder Than It Seems….So Many Difficult Choices

This past week I have been more focused on getting in contact with as many people as I can for interviews. So far that has not been going too well. At first I was a little confused and believed that we had to only get in contact with professionals through Linkedin. That was not the case. Since that confusion was cleared up I have opened up my options for communication. I have hit a couple of walls. By walls I mean their assistants. Many of them have given me the email, that was on the website that I got their number off, when I asked for the personal email of the specific doctor. I still have yet to set up any interviews but I have decided to change my tactic. When I call I will request for the doctor first then if they are unavailable ask for another means of contact.

This next Friday we have a give or original work proposal. Our Original work is a project that we spend time researching and use creative thinking to come up with a finished product that will stem from our topic of choice. I currently have two ideas. One is to make a reusable fill in card that will be sectioned off with different categories. They will be laminated and would come in different sizes. One that can fit in the standard clear ID tag holder and the other can fit on a clipboard. It would be a cheat sheet for a vet assistant or a new vet that needs to remember certain things about the clinic.

My next idea would be more towards the pet side. I would design a pet toy that will be given to anxious or rowdy pets. I'm taking a class called Small animal management and one of the topics is about having your dog calm and having the knowledge of the different types of body language. Many pets get nervous for the first visit to the vet, but even if the dog is very antsy it can still be difficult to treat them. I thought that a distraction would be better than taking more drastic measures.
