During these past couple weeks things have been moving quite slow. However there have been many useful skills that might not seem as important to others but with being in this program they are basic skills that give you advantage than many other students that attend school and they’re not currently in the ISM program. Skills such as learning many peoples names in a short amount of time. We learned tips such as repeating a name three times while in a conversation to get the hang of saying the name multiple times. Or making sure to pronounce the name correctly and not brush it off once you get it incorrect . Even though many people don’t recognize that they subconsciously brush off mistakes but can be really offensive towards other people, it is really good to practice proper etiquette.

Other things that we have learned these past few weeks of the beginning of school I think such as creating a professional business account to link up with other professionals using tools such as LinkedIn and even creating her own digital portfolio. Having these useful tools that we will be able to use even after we graduate are a resourceful way to keep records of all of the accomplishments that have been made to this program and either in other extracurricular activities that could be added on once this class has finished.

We chose smaller details such as quotes that we were using for the rest of the year. Even though we can always change them, it's still useful to have a motivational guide that not only pushes us but also motivates others to take notice at work and can understand some of the words that mean a lot to us . Creating things such as our introduction rough drafts and mission statements and even designing our own website to display our Digital portfolios have been really challenging to come up with great eye-catching ideas but overall has been an amazing start to the ISM school year.
