Contact and Research

Over the past couple of weeks we have been working on research assessments every week. This week mine was over the future uses in oral drug delivery. It was an interview conducted by a Hannah Makin speaking to David Brayden speaking on behalf of him and his team's research, but what I look away from the interview was the advice that he had given. Most of my assessments have been chosen by random and all over the place. Brayden’s advice was to choose the topics that no one is really interested in or don’t have enough courage to give their opinion on the matter. If you can back up what you are researching and even just get a start on a new perspective it makes you stand out even more from everyone else.

Even though I started last week on reaching out to professionals in the area, It has been very difficult to get someone to connect with me on Linkedin. I believe that many people do not regularly check their Linkedin accounts unless they are actively looking for a job or trying to network themselves. I still have yet to have my first interview and I will spend around 40 minutes to an hour everyday trying to find and connect with people to further my chances in connecting with a professional in the veterinary field.
