Not much has changed since my last update. The major assignment that was completed this week was going over a study or document of your choice, annotating it, and then writing down your thought process during the annotation. Though I have conducted more research, I'm not quite sure that I would like to continue the research. I studied a rare and underdiagnosed disease called Primary Hyperaldosteronism. It was primarily focused on being diagnosed for felines. I was thinking of what I could gain from this? Maybe study more underdiagnosed diseases but as I further think about the topic I want to go in a completely different direction. Now you might ask which direction, that I do not know. I do know that I want to study something that isn’t common. Something that stands out and isn’t basic knowledge of everyday people.
The document I studied made no sense at all. It was way too much information to comprehend for someone with little to no knowledge of the subject. I believe that I should have started off with an easier case study for more beginners instead of a veterinarian who’s been researching the topic for ten plus years. This next upcoming week I will try to further my knowledge of how to effectively choose my research topic.
